Make an Impact - Give to Rotary
Fundraisers
Our club hosts a variety of fundraisers throughout the year, such as the Reindeer Ramble, Trivia Night, Pancake Breakfast, Birdies for Charity, and Rock-n-Roll Bingo. Fundraisers are a great way to interact with fellow members and contribute to furthering our club’s mission and impact.
Rock Island Rotary Club Foundation
The Rock Island Rotary Foundation was created in 2008 as a result of a generous bequest of $200,000 from the estate of Stan Harris, and allowed us to establish a 501c3 charitable Club Foundation. The Foundation Board’s policy is to use only the net income and appreciated value of the fund to support projects and programs that benefit the people of Rock Island. This ensures that funds will be used exclusively to benefit our local community. The Foundation typically provides grants of $10,000 - $20,000 and has provided substantial support for the Spring Forward Learning Center (including purchasing a van), the Rock Island Girl’s Softball League, the Quad City Botanical Center, the Rock Island High School Entrepreneur and Enterprise Program, the Martin Luther King Center, Nest Cafe, Rock Island Public Library/YMCA project, and Christian Care Quad Cities. In 2023, the Foundation gave $20,000 in support of the Martin Luther King Center for an outdoor classroom.
Club Foundation supporters receive recognition as:
Friends $500 - $4,999
Patrons $5,000 - $24,999
Sponsor $25,000 - $49,000
Stan Harris Donors of Distinction Award $50,000 and above
